I wanted to start helping the project along, but the first step (installation) has already got me wondering:
Can HURD boot up from an extended partition? I have a small ext3 boot partition at the beginning of the drive where GRUB lives. Can I put the microkernel in HURD's own non-primary partition, or do I have to make a primary partition for HURD too? I would like to keep HURD completely in its own environment, using the filesystem it was meant to use, without putting any part of it in the ext3 partition.
