No. What is "special" about '[' and ']' characters?
In what contexts do square brackets need special treatment?
I cannot readily see a reference to it in the doc. Meanwhile, of course,
for this example I'll use "@verb". Thank you.

Thank you again. I feel better knowing what the "underfull hbox" stuff means.
I doubt, however, I'll ever be bored enough to want to try to figure out what
text needs special tweaking just because texinfo has a little problem.
I think my preferred fix would be to silence the warning.
