Said simply: I don't want "nodes" to appear in HTML menus or HTML
navigational linkage; I want only the section-titles displayed.Another approach which will get you most of the way there: use the same strings for node names as for section names (and no descriptions). Which is recommended (by me) anyway. Nodes are a fundamental part of Texinfo's design. As Patrice's answer shows, trying to eradicate them from the output, per se, is not going to be easy.
