Ingredients:
1/2 cup of ground almonds or almond slivers.
Two tablespoons of sesame seeds
Pinch of lemon pepper
Pinch of anise
Fresh lemon juice from 1/2 of a lemon
1/4 cup of honey
Two tablepoons of butter
One teaspoon of brown sugar
Mix the almonds, lemon pepper, sesame seeds and anise together and
crush. Best prepared in a small dicer- chopper to a powdery consistency.
A rolling pin and parchment work well also.
Heat the honey, lemon juice in a small saucepan and melt the butter and
the brown sugar to a syrup consistency. Let stand for 10 minutes when
done. Dip the shrimp into the honey mixture and shake in a bag
containing the almond mix. Place on a baking sheet and place into a
preheated oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Recipe makes approximately one pound of coated shrimp
Serve with citrus marmalade.
