So it looks like this is a bit more complex.
If you've got MX records for mail, you can't have CNAME for the domain.

Looks like I'm going to have to setup records for my domain to point
to heroku, since I can't do anything else about my MX for google apps.

I see that heroku.com is two IP now, will I rue the day if I just
setup two pointers to them?
