Why reinvent the wheel. I think it would be better to use standard 
architectural building terminology, just define the terms for those 
unfamiliar with building trades. By making up your own terms everybody will 
have to remember your terminology and your booklet would lose credibility.

I don't see any harm in color coding the yurt components if you're 
describing how they fit together, but it would be helpful if you also 
specify the angles where sections meet.
