thanks, but what I'm trying to understand is the difference between the R-max and the Thurmax and the R-Tech it's my understaning that the higher the R-value, the better. so I dont see the problem with R-tech as opposed to r-max (the price for 1.5" is $14 vs $26 for rmax, and yet the R value only differs by 2 points and both feel about the same in person)
I'm going to be building one yurt for myself, but also about 4-5 more for others in our camp, so even a few dollars makes a big difference. but of course I don't want to build it from something that will fall apart of cause problems either. thanks for your time -X On Friday, June 21, 2013 5:21:31 PM UTC-4, Xain C wrote: > > I am building an H13 for this years burn, I've been wanting to for years > but only this year have the logistics worked out. > > So, My question(s) are in regards to which material should I use? > > 1" seems a bit thin, but I've deff seen it on the playa, 1.5" is what I'm > looking mostly....2" seems like overkill to me, but I'm new to hexayurts. > > Here is a link to the 1.5" R-Tech at home depot ( > LINK<http://www.homedepot.com/p/t/202532855?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=202532855&R=202532855#.UcTBfD4joec>) > would this work? if no, why not? > > what should one expect to pay per panal for 1" 1.5" and 2"? > > thanks for your help! > > pictures and video to come. > > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "hexayurt" group.
