I used a rope halo last year on my H13, tied down to playa staples with six
ratchet straps. Even though the H13 isn't a simple dome, it worked fine. I
never got it seated perfectly symmetrical, but I wasn't worried about style
points. :-)

I realize this is an old post. My friends and I have a couple of H13s this
year, and no experience with them. Has anyone thought about how to make a
modified-for-H13 rope halo?

Can't speak to the "how many can it sleep" but I'd guess 6 is about the limit,
and you'd want a "stuff" tent.

As far as the wind goes, I know my H13 stood up just fine in 2011. Didn't bring
it out last year, but intend to this year.
I used a combo of tape anchors (will not use again) and ratchet straps. Tape
anchors liked to break. This year, I will be using a modified-for-h13 rope halo
of some kind.

If anyone has suggestions on H13 halo techniques, by all means chime in!

hi there folks. i'm about to undertake building my first hexy for that thing in
the desert, an h13, but had a couple of questions i was hoping i could tap your
collective wisdom on...

- how many people can an h13 sleep. we're a group of 6. will we fit
comfortably? would our bags / coolers fit also or would those be best off in a
separate tent?
- have the fears about the wind on the playa and the h13 been allayed? if you
use a rope halo will everything be ok?

thanks so much for your help.
