DO it. I had to use 3" foil side by side and it's pretty good. They do make
6" but it's hard to come by esp last minute (it's pricey on amazon but it's
there)

Only issue I noted is that when I fold up my yurt, the seam between the two
strips of foil can ripple apart and make a groove. But that isn't such a
big deal-- unless you want total darkness in your yurt (I kinda like
darkness). The tape that adheres to the panel is the most important part,
it barely sticks to the inner fiberglass powdery part of the panel. not
much technique other than that, except to wear gloves cuz that shit will
give you big papercuts. Also rip the foil off the paper backing, and leave
some paper backing, so it's not hard to peel with each run. apply like any
peel n stick product --it goes on nicely.

Hexayurts totally reflect a lot of light and heat-- sometimes standing in a
village of them is like standing between solar ovens. People bring tarps or
paint to manage any reflections that will seriously bother their neighbors.
I liked having my yurt cozied up to a shade structure with some shade cloth
connecting the two, so our living room (under the shade) wasn't getting
baked by my yurt.
