[Hibernate] huge tring storage

Regard,   I am looking to store a String to the database that would be a legal contract so the amount of space necessary would be rather large in the database.   What type of mapping declaration do I want for my <property .. /> tag? I have tried serializable and object but both are just not enough... I was hoping there might be some type for 'text' but that turned up dead ends.   Thanks!   Justen Stepka
