Guys: I'm late with this but if there is something I could do to help, I've love to. Perhaps help with documenting the demo application?

Hello Everyone :) Christian has entered Hibernate 2.1 in the Jolt Awards. What this means is that 2.1 /must/ be finished and released before 14 December. This release process has dragged out for much, much longer than expected, so we need to be a bit focussed now! The following missing pieces remain: * TreeCache integration * CGLIB2 upgrade * update documentation * finish demo application + document it TreeCache integration is seems to be working but we need (a) proper tests on multiple processes (b) a distribution of TreeCache in a single jar (preferrably not 600k!) IIRC, Chris Nockleberg has a patch for CGLIB2, which I can apply as soon as I get a special build of Proxool in the next couple of days. The documentation is /almost/ up to date, but there are a few loose ends and, most importantly, we need to completely document the new second-level cache stuff. I understand that Christian is looking into this. Christian, Max and I have been working hard trying to get the new Hibernate + WebWork2 + Tomcat demo application into a releasable state but, to be honest, there is a fair bit more work to go on that. I insist that we need this to be released simultaneously with 2.1. We still need: (a) validation (b) properly laid-out JSPs (lets use Hibernate colors + logo) (c) instructions to get it running in Tomcat in <1 minute We have exactly one month. All this is doable. peace -- Gavin King JBoss Group +61 410534454 http://hibernate.org ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.
