hi all,

A while ago we talked about versioning the jars, and the consensus was to
move forward on this. Since no one has gotton to it, I thought I would go
ahead and do it. I figured getting the /lib directory updated would be a
good first step to updating the various jar files used by HibernateExt.

I haven't worked in the Hibernate2 sourcetree before, so I wanted to run by
what I wanted to do. I was thinking that I just check out CVS head. Then
rename the jars with version in the names. And then check them back in. I
am not sure (using Eclipse) if this will lose the history or not. I could
also try and do a rename, I believe there are CVS commands for that, but I
haven't done them before.

Once that is done, then I was going to proceed to updating the HibernateExt
to use the new jars and features of Hibernate 2.1.

Part of what is prompting this are some recent posts on some mailing lists
including Webwork and Turbine about using the HibernateExt code with 2.1.

Eric
