There isn't any version of hsqldb.jar distributed with Hibernate.

The compatibility guide at http://www.hibernate.org/34.html mentions
HypersonicSQL 1.6.1 and 1.7.0. I originally tried 1.7.1, but it doesn't make
any difference if I drop back to version 1.7.0.

I've just gone back into the Hibernate2 cvs repository and downloaded a
version of hsqldb.jar from there (Revision 1.1 in CVS). Using this version,
the example works fine.

What version of hsqldb.jar is stored in CVS? 1.7.1 is 262,152 bytes, but the
version from CVS is 486,775 bytes - quite a difference!

Cheers,
Joe
