KHALIFAH TEENS TRAINING
Shaping Teens Towards Excellence
30 June & 1 July 2007
(CONDUCTED FULLY IN ENGLISH)
Open to secondary students 13 to 17 yrs- BOYS & GIRLS

INTRODUCTION

The world today poses many challenges and our teenagers battle these
obstacles as much as the rest of us do. Television, internet, movies, music,
hand phones, are but a fragment of the influences in their daily lives,
exposing their vulnerability and eroding their Islamic belief and practice.
They are pushed towards a secular materialistic lifestyle, where
responsibilities and purpose are repressed. A life disassociated from thoughts
of the Almighty
But we know everyone is born equal and with great potential. It is this
potential that must be realised and teenagers are no different. They need to be
guided in making the right choices. This is particularly evident now, given the
attraction of the secular materialistic world we live in today. These pleasures
are very enticing and all too often succumbing to these temptations proves to
be easier, especially when these teens enter the world of colleges and
universities, where they get their first taste of freedom.
Since July 2006 Khalifah Institute has been conducting 2 day intensive training
programs for our youth and teenagers. A survey conducted after each session
showed great changes among the participants. The majority understood their
purpose in life better and felt a growing love for Islam and the desire to do
all that is good. They came away highly motivated and felt that they would have
benefited greatly if this knowledge had been made available much earlier in
their lives.
Khalifah Institute once again will be holding a training session for teenagers,
this time to be conducted fully in English, to cater to repeated requests from
parents of international students studying in Malaysia.
Islam must be firmly and deeply rooted into the consciousness of our young
Muslims. We need to awaken our teens to the potential that lies within, the
potential that Allah has placed within them. Lead them to the right path and
let them build from there.
Give them a fighting chance.
* This program caters to teens between the ages of 13 to 17.
