This is my plan for testing the root-mount problem as mentioned before: * Base system will be LFS 6.8 with hardening added (by hardening I mean stack protection and Grescurity/PaX, and adding arc4random to Glibc) * Kernel 2.6.38.* will be used, which is the only other major deviation from LFS 6.8 (other than the hardening) * Both the pkgusr and raid-crypto-lvm hints will be used (modified to fit LFS 6.8) * The system is a encrypted LVM, so LVM 2.02.84 and cryptsetup 1.2.0 (and deps popt, libgpg-error, and libgcrypt at 1.16, 1.10, and 1.4.6 respectively) will be used. * Use a Pure64 system by-the-book for testing * And provide detailed debugging info as well.
