As far as I can tell (and from reading Reijn's url), adding the dependency to 
my project.xml has no effect. The editor/project.xml dependency *overrides* 
whatever I specify :-(

Effectively, if you want to use a newer jar than that included in HippoCMS, the 
only way is to manually copy it in after building... which means having a lib/ 
directory with the jar in somewhere to copy from, too.

Yeah, that bit works fine for me ... I now have no version of the dependency ;-)
