No this is not possible. Also, I assume you want to display some of the
text of the pdf in a search result? Obviously, searching will become
quite slow, if you need to fetch say 10 pdfs of 10 Mb a piece. 

How are the pdf's stored in the repository? Is it done by author? You
can add a property field to binary where the author can add an
introduction / summary. If you want it automatically done, try create
some extractor that does the job for you. 

Then, displaying the thing you want is just displaying a property
