I'm not sure what you are exactly trying to do but what you are trying
is definitely not going to work. The repository parameter in the page
tag
expects a variable that refers to an instance of a RepositoryBean in the
pageContext. By default the tag expects this bean in the pageContext
variable 'repository'.
This variable is created by a context filter (/preview or /live). 
I expect that you want to execute a dasl on a repository folder outside
of the current 
repository context (i.e. you want to execute a dasl at the live context
while 
the current context is preview or vice versa).
Since you adressed the mail to Wander I assume he already told you that
this is
possible by specifying the absolute search path in the dasl query and in
particular in
the scope tag of the query.
In the dasl package of the hst create a Scope object and initialize it
with the path
and use that object in your Query object.
