The exception is related to the fact that I got an empty WEB-INF/
smwork/beans.xml; any idea on why this may happen?
Not really, but can you make sure that you're either deploying exploded
wars, or that Glassfish is exploding them. Not all containers do this by
default (or at all).
I am using the 'asadmin deploy' command, which takes a WAR file as
input; afterwards the WAR file is exploded inside the appropriate directory.
