sry, I though this was clear by my indication about the webdav method.
With Hippo Cocoon you are currently creating a DASL, which is an
equivalent of a search in the repository, right? A DASL is executed as
some webdav method, in your case, you can find in your xml:

method="SEARCH"

replacing this with

method="SEARCH_NOACL"

is all you need. As now, properties you want to fetch aren't retrieved
from the database at all, and no auth takes place, you need to tell
the indexing to <storeAll/> properties. You'll see search results of
over hundreds of thousands of hits returned in couple of milli secs
now.
