American Mastertech has a Helico*STAT stain kit that uses Alcian yellow
solution and toluidine blue as staining components. If this is similar to what
you are currently using, I am sure they would share their procedure with you if
you called.
I saw this stain at the Texas state meeting, and the organisms stand out very
nicely! We currently use the Thiazine stain in the Diff Quick kit for our
pathologists.
