The NSH sells a set of study guides on histology (maybe 10 of them, on fixation, various special stain categories and the like), I think you will find them quite helpful to see how much you actually remember after reading the textbooks.

Another book that might help you because of the illustrations (special stain color pictures on the test!) is: Theory and Practice of Histological Techniques 5th edition edited by Bancroft and Gamble Unfortunately it is rather pricey.
