HI all, We are doing gram stains manually, and the acetone is removing some of the 'ink' from the printed labels making them difficult to read--let alone scan the barcode. Does anyone have any suggestions/hints on what they are using for their gram stain that may lessen the acetone removal of the print on the labels? Is there a system that will not affect the slide labels? Is there a gram stain that anyone could recommend that does not use acetone?
