We've held slides post-retrieval in buffer (tris, PBS, etc.) overnight with no problem.

They are currently in antigen retrieval that has come to room temperature. I am not going to be able to finish the IHC stains until tomorrow. Will it be better to keep the slides in the antigen retrieval solution at 4 degrees overnight, or put it in buffer at 4 degrees overnight? I really don't want to stay here late. Thanks histo-hotties!!
