We had the same problem years ago using Clear-rite. It turned out to be the mounting medium was not compatible. We use Clear-rite routinely and do not have problems with the eosin bleeding. We use Permount or on our coverslipper we use Sakura brand. Jennifer

So I just stained a group of slides all at the same time with the same conditions. About 40 of 150 the eosin looks like it is bleeding out of the sections...this has never happened before? What could be the cause and how do I fix it? Everything is as normal, but again I am being forced to use the crappy stuff called clear rite. Could this be the cause of the bleeding?
