Do you have a maximum number of pieces of tissue per block? I work for a GI lab also. My slides go out to a hospital path group who insist only 5 pieces of tissue per block. Of course this adds a lot of extra work on many cases...just wondering?

I am wondering how other sites cut their biopsies (ie the number of sections per slide and the amount of roughing in between sections)? I am also curious about the number of slides per biopsy.
