Placenta eaters have been around for a long time. In fact, many years ago on the original Saturday Night Live, Jane Curtin and Laraine Newman did an absolutely hilarious skit on Placenta Helper (Hamburger Helper). You can probably find it online. It's also been known that fresh placentas make great rose bush fertilizer and catfish bait!
