Good Afternoon, Our OR furnishes a specimen log that their personnel fills out with date, time, patient label, lists of all specimens, dr, their initials and Pathology personnel signs off when they get the specimen out of the window. If there are any problems or issues, we call the OR and meet someone from the case in the window to resolve the issue. I think it is the OR's responsibility to get the specimens from the OR to the window. Thanks, Wanda

If so, how do you do this? Or should the OR be solely responsible for making sure that they specimens make it to histology?
