We use both the 12 hopper and single hopper General Data cassette engravers. They are fast, and have been rock-solid in terms of reliability. The cost of consumables is high (you must use their cassettes), but due to the technology used, the engraved blocks read 100% of the time for our specimen tracking and real time labeling applications.
