Hi Karen, We get ours from Sigma-aldrich: Ammonium Sulfide, 25ml A1952-25 Sigma-Aldrich $34.12 EA 25 ml
This is a 20% solution We just got some so I know they have it. We use a 10% solution of this, so it comes out to 2% final concentration: we use 4ml of the ammonium sulfide we buy in 36ml water. I don't remember the posting but in practical use ammonium sulfide is easily added in excess of the need for the reaction, so in that sense concentration does not matter much. But maybe if you made it super low concentration it would not work as well or as fast. For our purposes 2% final concentration and up is fine.
