Hi Carole, Sorry but you need to validate the change completely. Reagent alcohols are blends that sometimes don’t even contain ethanol. You need to demonstrate that it doesn’t affect routine H&Es, special stains, and IHC. Plus you have to test the major tissue types you routinely work on.
Others may disagree with me, but if you get an inspector who focuses on the minutia, you can get cited.
