Hi Charles, If memory serves, there is a thermal fuse or switch that will shut the unit down if it exceeds a certain temp. Once the unit cools, the switch is reset. So either that switch needs to be replaced or there is a problem elsewhere that is causing the unit to overheat. Replacing that switch should be an easy and cost-effecient thing to try first.
