I'm with the histotech on this on this one. I would never put the FS in the
middle if the sample was A1. Then it would read A1 FS.

Subject: Re: [Histonet] Slide labeling?

[Caution: This email originated from outside the organization.]

Good Morning All,
The Histotechs read the slides as part A, frozen section 1 (A FS 1), and part A
frozen section 2 (A FS 2).The PA said the slides read part A1 frozen section (A
FS 1), and part A2 frozen section (A FS 2).
There in lies the rub. The PA says his/her interpretation is the most commonly
used. The Histotechs say theirs is.
>From my experience, I agree with the Histotechs.
Opinions?

Paula,
is your question about interpretation of labels? I think, each institution
has its own "language".

For example, if we devide one lymphnode in two halves, one is labelled with
"a" the other one with "b".
The levels are identified with digits (1,2,..).

Long time no see.
My question is:
If you had frozen section slides labeled"A FS 1" and "A FS 2", how would you
label, or order them?
What's your interpretation?
That's the hot topic today.
