After a lot of sweat... a) Tile rendering is back up and running for the main tiles. b) The experimental layers are still broken. c) The API export of raw .osm data is now exporting *actual* historical data instead of the main OSM database. d) Exporting of png / jpg images from the website was exporting tiles from the main osm database. This has not been fixed yet.
