This jira page is a bit too long to follow.
With discussions with Prasad and Zheng, will open several sub-tasks for
index-building, generalize index interface to allow plugin different index
strategies, and optimize queries with index etc.
Let's keep discussions involved overall indexing here in this jira page, and
move other discussions to separate jira pages.
