Now that the Owl has flown the coop (or something), (see http://bit.ly/3ESLi
for the source), it would be good to examine their implementation and see if we
could find some union of Pig and Hive features and implement that in a single
service (either by extending Owl, the Hive metastore, or starting from scratch).
