Its a while ago that I looked at some of the osgi framework implementations. If I remember correctly, I came to the conclusion that hivemind has similarities with OSGi, but the strongly dynamic nature of OSGi is very different to hiveminds 'link everything before startup' approach. For example OSGi supports runtime switching of services.
