I just switched me env over to JDK 1.5 and now one of the HiveMind tests fail.

Basically, JDK 1.4 throws ConnectException and JDK 1.5 throws
UnknownHostException. I think we should change the code to either
figure out the JDK and supply the correct expected exception class, or
just allow for any exception.
