Friday, November 12, 1999 Sanusi to stay in state LANGKAWI: Kedah Mentri Besar Tan Sri Sanusi Junid said he would contest for a state seat in the coming general election but could not confirm in which area. "I am staying in Langkawi and not going to federal," he told newsmen at the Kuah Jetty here before leaving for Kuala Kedah yesterday. Sanusi said he had not submitted any list of candidates to Dr Mahathir because the Prime Minister knew all the leaders in Kedah.
