Third building at World Trade Center collapses
A third building in New York's World Trade Center collapsed late Tuesday, about seven hours after the complex's twin towers were destroyed in an apparent double suicide attack by two passengers planes. The 47-storey building, number seven in the Center, was seen on CNN television collapsing in a cloud of dust. The building had been on fire for several hours and the entire surrounding area had been declared off-limits, even to rescue workers, because of the threat of collapse. |
