...and don't forget to tell the people a bit about your mod. You will find other people replying when you say it is more a fun mod, nothing dissicult to code or if you say that it will surpass Day Of Defeat and you need really skilled people. Also what is the theme of the mod? Some people have political or ethic reasons for not helping you. Others might have always wanted to help in coding a real 'Alien' total conversion.
