Hi Jorge- The crash seems really suspicious. I suggest that you Refresh SDK Content from the launcher and see if that goes away.
The asserts are a known issue - I think that everyone gets them. I haven't heard about the timeout problem from other people. Sometimes it doesn't happen, sometimes immediately after I start the game. I've done the build with Visual Studio 7.1 and 8.0, and I experience the same things. This is all with my CMake project, but if I try it with the regular SDK I get even worse results.
