I'm trying to run an ep2 scratch sdk multiplayer mod but whenever a map loads the game crashes here:

I've done a full rebuild and added some null pointer checks but nothing seems to help. Some searches revealed people having this problem back in '05 but as always they fail to mention how they managed to fix it leaving me frustrated without a solution.
