Thanks for the link, for the life of me I could not find the desktop version, I could only find the Express edition to compile "Metro" apps, which obviously wouldn't help me.
I'm glad to hear that someone has been able to compile it in 2012 (even with switching the toolset), I just have the need for some of the features of the Professional version for other projects, and don't feel like having different IDEs.
