It's a well known windows kernal vs motherboard combo issue.
I'll bet device manager\computer\shows a different kernel type on each box.

acpi systems have a different default accuracy mmtimer clock in windows for
some reason.
As you noted, certain applications can force the systemtimer to a lower
value producing the higher frequency of 10 vs 15.  If you are really
intersted in the details search the online archieves of this list for
"multimedia timer" and I'm sure you'll get 100's of posts on the topic.

Motherboard Intel P865 Pearl c/ SATA
CPU Pentium 4 HT 2.6 Ghz
1GB DDR PC3200 400 mhz
VGA ATI Radeon 9800 128 MB AGP 8X
HD Seagate 120GB SATA
@ Windows Xp Pro SP1a

But server is running at 64 fps, if play media player fps go to 512, but in
another server:

Motherboard ASUS P4S333
CPU Pentium 4 1.8a
512 DDR PC2700 333 mhz
VGA SIS 8MB AGP 1/2X
HD Maxtor 80GB ATA 133 7200 rpm
@ Windows 2000 server sp4

Server is running at 99 fps.

I donīt know what happen, anybody can help me ?
