Is the power switch set for instant off? Or 4 second delay? I once had an intermittent short.
Does the event log show no unexpected shutdown? If so then somehow the system shut it self down. Make sure the box is fully patched. The old RPC worms used to kill rpcss and this would initiate an immediate shut down. Set the box to create a blue screen of death dump to see if that is what happened. Control panel system applet. Then advanced tab and select the "Startup and Recovery" button.
