Cool. I dropped in and had a look. The download worked but it did pull some
sounds and model files of the game server. Frankly as long as it gets the
map and .wad files no big. It took only 35 seconds or so to download. It
looks pretty cool. I will come by some time try to play. I have CSDM running
on my private server. DM is a fun deversion every once in a while.

I like the MOTD, Windows under Linux because I can. Got to love it.

Oh and by the way the MOTD runs out of space, and yes I did scroll down that
far. =P

Subject: Re: [hlds] sv_downloadurl problem

I saw this once before. Change something, reboot, it doesn't work. Touch
nothing, come back an hour later, it's working. I figured I did something
stupid and so didn't give it anymore thought. One thing I did find was
sv_downloadurl in both server.cfg and autoexec.cfg. I've noticed that you
can't change sv_downloadurl without restarting the server, I wonder if just
having it set the same way in both files was causing problems? I'm voting on
1) sv_downloadurl process is flaky 2) my ISP if flaky 3) my brain is flaky
:-)

I'm running XDM beta, and it seems to be quite stable. I have tripmine
limits increased, and it's a hoot watching people running around laying down
25 tripmines. I see people join the server when it's empty and spend an hour
just running around laying tripmines from one end of the map to the other.
