Hello,

I am currently having issues running the latest HLDS through steam on
FreeBSD 5.2.1. When launching HLDS with this command:
./hlds_run -game tfc -port 27015 +ip x.x.x.x +map 2fort -maxplayers
16 -autoupdate +exec server.cfg +sv_lan 0

the output is as follows:
Auto detecting CPU
Using Pentium II Optimised binary.
Auto-restarting the server on crash
Updating server using Steam.

I've got the latest metamod and adminmod configured to run, and have taken
the steps to disable them to see if that fixes the problem but still a no
go.

Ive got CPU_ENABLE_SSE in the kernel enabled as an option and recompiled &
installed it. linux_enable="YES" is in rc.conf

%sysctl -a | grep linux

pf is enabled with ports 27015, 7002, 1200, 27005, 27012, 27010, and 27040
open for udp and tcp traffic. I've even tried disabling it to see if that
was an issue, and apparently wasn't.

Now my question is, does hlds need to be run from /compat/linux/ in order to
properly function? Does /compat/linux/ need to be jailed and the user
running hlds_l assigned to that jail?

Any help would be much appreciated, and if ive missed anything, let me
know..

Thanks,
hw
