Hi I don't think the hardware is the problem, server runs smoothly and nice about half day, then it start suddenly lag. Rebooting server and changing level to same map, server full 28/28 , no problems. Plenty of RAM free, processor load never over 85%, even in peaks... Something leaking ....

Certain hardware performs better then others in those instances, but overall your kinda screwed. Those that that have system clocks at 10 get away with it more then those at 15. Your only option there is to use the various mmtimer tricks, of course that can lead to other instabilities or inconsistencies in performance. Also you ought to disable hyperthreading, I've seen less lag under tfc with HT disabled many win3k boxes. That's been my experiances with various tfc instances; it might be slightly different if your running cs or some other mod, but I doubt it. /2cents. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Snagu Sent: Monday, January 17, 2005 2:26 PM To: hlds@list.valvesoftware.com Subject: Re: [hlds] Windows 2003 server lag issue, any solutions jet ? Hi I was celebrating too early. Lag issue is here still. I binded process and also binded corresponding network adapter to same CPU ( intfiltr.exe / w2k3 resource kit ). That seems so reduce latency about 2-4 ms and stabilize it littlebit, but lag issue won't disappear. I Have 3 20/20 dod servers and 1 28/28 server and no problems with 20/20 servers, so there is something with bigger servers ...
