(Assuming XP Pro with SP2) delete your existing firewall permission for srcds.exe before running it, then unblock and it should run fine.
If you have to restart your server, follow the same procedure. A bit of pain but this works for me. It's not the firewall but Source TV interacting with the server during startup. Well after a day of scratching my head while trying to figure out why it was saying: "Your server is out of date. Please update and restart" I found that in the server config that this line was causing the problems tv_enable 1. Would anyone else be having this problem, or why I would be getting this ?
